AMVETS Post 45 - 2002 Installation of Officers and Awards dinner - September 28, 2002
That evening, we headed for North Grosvernordale for the 2002 Installation of Officers and Awards Dinner at the Copl. James H. Sylvia, Jr. AMVETS Post 45. Salute to the Military medley - with a little help from our friends!
God Bless The U.S.A.
And we receive this standing salute from our friends (including Papa Frank Rogers to the left) that brought tears to our eyes. Thank you AMVETS!
The Glory Girls founding members are Kimberly and Stacy. Together, their combined talents span singing, dancing, theatre and much more.
They had the honor of touring overseas together in another group sponsored by the Department of Defense. Kimberly toured 6 times to over 12 countries and Stacy toured 2 times to over 7 countries as part of a song and dance group performing for our Servicewomen, Servicemen and their families.
They both felt that their talents could be used again and formed a new group to perform in and around Connecticut.
When at home, they also volunteer their time for many Veterans and Veterans organizations, performing at many VA Hospitals and parades, for the State and National AMVETS Commander's Dinners as well as many senior centers.
In 2007, Jillian and Amy joined our group. Please welcome all of our Glory Girls as they entertain you with song and dance!
FORMER MEMBERS: In 2002, we had three rounds of auditions where we added Christi, Debbie, Amanda, Jennifer and Joyce. All of these ladies have moved on to other endeavors and we wish them well!
If you are interested in auditioning, please e-mail: theglorygirls@yahoo.com.
